The number of folks who are receiving information from me has expanded exponentially over the last 6 months. Some of you have received daily workouts at one time or another. Maybe you’ve been a private or class client of Charm City Kettlebells. Perhaps you’d just inquired about investing in kettlebells or had some questions for me? In any case, if you want to continue to get free recipes, workout plans and/or ideas and other strength and conditioning information then you MUST “opt in” to my new email management tool, which you can find in the middle right column of the this website. Now here is the exciting news! I’ve been contacted by more than a few of you who are interested in receiving Distance Coaching to help you meet and exceed your fitness goals. I’ve shied away from it in the past for a number of reasons but I’d be doing you and me a disservice to continue to waver on this. So here’s the deal.
I’m going to run an exclusive Coaching Program for just 7 folks. The focus of the 6 week program will be to educate and teach you how to eat and workout to help you reach your long term goals. Each week we will have a tele-conference for the whole group and also you will have a private one on one phone consult. I am going to run this pilot just like I will run the program when it opens up for the general public. Your investment will be one of time and not of money. This will be free!
You will be accountable to read, study and do some work outside of the calls. My whole goal is to help you create a sustainable lifestyle to be fit and healthy. You aren’t going to lose tons of weight in 6 weeks but we will get the ball rolling. As I noted a few weeks ago, I’ve gone from 208 to 180 in 14 weeks. The really exciting thing is that I’ve managed to get stronger in that time frame. Obviously, your results may be better or worse than mine.
Here’s what you won’t be: Hungry, miserable, lethargic and generally unhappy. We won’t be discussing anything that remotely resembles calorie restriction. Frankly, then it becomes a diet and diets are systems that are bound to fail in the long run. Rather, you and I will come up with a framework of exercise, and an eating style that will leave you invigorated and full of life.
How will you be accountable? You will keep an nutritional log during the 6 week program. Activity Logs will be kept, workouts noted. Questions will be recorded so we can discuss and assist you.
So how do you sign up? As I said above, this will be for 7 folks. Number 1, you must be motivated to alter your lifestyle. As I said, this isn’t a diet. It may require radical changes for you or it may not. For me, I made some subtle, but important and obviously effective, modifications. Number 2: You must communicate your “why” to me. There isn’t an application to be part of the pilot but you will need to email me and explain why you should be one of the 7 for the Pilot. And I’m not even going to share what I’m looking for in order to make my decision. I need to hear it from you in your own words.

The deadline for application is Monday December 7, 2009 at 12:00 PM EST. I will inform all the students no later than the 14th. The program will commence on December 28, 2009 and end the week of February 5, 2010. The teleconferences will be recorded so you will miss an opportunity to participate if you aren’t able to be on the line but you won’t miss the information. Your private one on one consults will be scheduled in advance. These will be vital to your success and you will not be able to reschedule them. You will need to put them on your calendar without fail.
If you are chosen to be in the program, you will need to invest in two text books. I will need proof that you actually purchased them as they will be using them throughout the program and you will want to refer to them afterward as well.
Finally, I’m neither a Doctor nor a nutritionist. I want me giving medical advice or prescribing a diet. I am someone who is passionate about your success and mine. If I don’t’ know the answer to something I have some amazing resources available to me that should allow me to gather the information fairly quickly. I live and breathe what I will be sharing with you. This IS NOT a Kettlebell coaching program! If you use them already, then you more than likely will hear a thing or two from me that may help you. If you don’t use them, then you may develop an interest in checking them out. And certainly, exercise is a vital component to health but in your private consult we will discuss your current regimen and we may tweak it to give you the most benefit.
