Back To The Warrior Diet
By Sandy Sommer RKC on in Dietary & Nutritional Planning, Sandy's Journal
I have cycled back and forth between The Paleo Diet and the Warrior Diet for sometime now and today I decided to get back to being a Warrior. Time to get a bit leaner and meaner. Cat like if you will.
My recent focus has been on developing maximum strength and I have had some success. I am now able to press the 4o KB Kettlebell. Did it for the first time last Friday. Additionally. I began to dead lift with fervor. Haven’t done it in 25 years and am now attacking it using much valued advice from the Purposeful Primitive himself, Marty Gallagher. In less than one month I went from zero to a bit more than 300 pounds.
While I’ve been focusing my effort on brute force, I’ve neglected my nutrition ever so slightly. So back to some real diligence and I decided that the Warrior Diet was the way to get back to desired discipline.
Today was the first day back to it. I started the day the one cup of fresh blueberries and followed that up with Parrillo Optimized Whey . A bit later on, I drank a cup of java and had a Parrilo protein bar and some watermelon. Drank a lot of water all day and had my big meal. A huge spinach salad with raisins, strawberries, blueberries, tomato, celery, cucumber and citrus vinaigrette. Then I ate a lot of grilled chicken with squash, onions and tomatoes.
Will close with another Parrillo 100% protein drink before nightie night.

Hi Sandy!!!!!!
Been off here a while. Like the new site!
Have been on warrior diet for 3 weeks- It suits me fine. Happily for me It’s all the foods I normally eat.. just in a different order!! Though I’m still experimenting with eating and training. And been asking all other warrior dietees what their training regime is. I have noticed a drop in my strength, but maybe still in adaption phase( also school hols ;D)
I eat less protein in the day, Generally have a protein drink post training otherwise grab some almonds.
I train later in the day, but thats only because that’s what my diary permits at the moment.
Got a big class tonight so will see how that fits in with my eating

Sarah,
Thanks for the feedback on the site! I appreciate it. Christian Seeber did a fantastic job. I was on the Warrior for quite some time and then cycled to Paleo. Lost some of the lean on Paleo. I will see what happens now:)
