Viking Warrior Conditioning

What a great day it was to do kettlebell training in the great outdoors! I did some nice joint mobility work and got straight to work with the mVO2 prototocol as directed by the ilusteius Kenneth Jay, Sr. RKC. If you are an experienced kettlebell user than you owe it to yourself to check out [...]

Viking Strength Day

Today was my second Viking Strength Day of the week. I did 9 sets of work. Each set consisted of Kettlebell Press for 12 reps with the 20 KG Kettlebell. Additionally, I did 4 one legged pistols and 4 pull ups. Total rep count was 108 presses, 36 pistols and 36 pull ups. Will finish [...]

Got This From Dax Moy Overnight

I got this message from Dax Moy and thought you’d enjoy seeing it. Dear Sandy, I’ve been re-writing a few sections of www.themagichundred.com today in order to update a few of the chapters with things I’ve learned since I originally launched the program in January 2007. As I was writing away, it dawned on me [...]

What Does Warren Buffett Know About Kettlebells?

Perhaps this is becoming a broken record but I can’t stress enough that “simple” is very often the best approach to success.I am focused on only 6 movements at this point. All I practice is swings, Turkish Get Ups, Snatches, Tactical Pull ups and Pistols. I throw an odd sprint or two into the mix, [...]

What Have you Done in the First 100 Days of 2009

Well, Dax promised he’d be back ‘tomorrow’ and it’s been a week. A family emergency got in the way and he was unable to get back to us and share some more of his goal achievement ‘secrets‘ but he’s finally back with another interesting and thought provoking message to help us achieve your goals faster. [...]

Friday Fun

I did more Viking Warrior Strength and Conditioning today. I did 10 rounds of 2 reps of the following: 16 kg kettlebell pistols 8 kg Tactical Pull Ups (first hanging from right foot and then left) so 20 reps total for each. I week ago I was having problems with pistols and have made big [...]

Today’s Workout

Today was another kettlebell variety day and I chose to do 30 minutes of Turkish Get Ups. I didn’t try to count them and I focused on the quality of each repetition and felt very strong and relaxed. Nice practice. I finished with 100 kettlebell snatches with my trusty 24 kg Kettlebell in easy sets [...]

Viking Strength and Conditioning for Today

Did 4 ladders with three rungs using a paired 12 and 16 kg kettlebell. Simulates feeling of heavier than 28 kg since it isn’t really very stable. I don’t own a 32 or 36 so I make do. Also did 50 work sets of the MVO2 :15/:15 today as well. And big news……Just cleanly and [...]
